Clawgear emerged on market few years ago and filled a gap between PRO stuff and low budget prod- ucts. By offering wide range of products it also pre- sented strange sizing. Generally almost everything is either too long, too short. There is something wrong with it. But recently I got something of perfect fit – the waistpack! Yes, indeed, this waistpack perfectly fits my needs. I don't know how it is with you guys, but I am a user of 2-3 waistpacks to carry different stuff "in the field". I don't have a herd of them and I do not support an idea of using different ones for different situations, week days or events. Now, I have 3 and that's enough. Clawgear didn't even surprise me, because their products are quality ones and well made so they will not fall apart after short time. Tacticoat EDC got me with how easy to handle it is. It is perfectly sized and just handy. I don't want to butter up, but the moment I got it in my hands we started cooperating flawlessly. All things that are necessary for me I kept finding… inside the waistpack. First impression is great, dura- ble Cordura with matched zippers, straight stitches and a narrow strap that fits inside belt loops. Inside is not revolutionary in any way, but two compartments are totally enough, the little "thingy" to attach keys, water-resistant zipper (but in the bottom is drainage hole) and front compartment (not sewn on, it is com- posed in the front) does it job. I store there "quick things" like cash, parking lot tickets etc. In contrary to other waistpacks, when I carry Clawgear on waist, its width does not cause sides or belly squeezing. It's the same when I sit in the car, ride a bicycle or bend over to tie my shoelaces. That's why I am writing it perfectly fits me. It doesn't annoy me, no matter if I carry it Pancho Villa bandoleer-style or as a regular waistpack. Its strength is how handy it is in every day use! Designer really used his head when it came to the size of it. It is needn't to write how much stuff it will store, how many beer cans or jackets (you can always check it by yourselves). I've been using it for few months, almost every day, sunny, rainy, dusty, windy, doesn't matter in what kind conditions. All I know Is that when you ride your bike fast and far and you don't want to use a backpack, waistpack will do. Same during shooting competition or just on the streets. Tacticoat EDC has some interesting, but I don't know if necessary, features. For example, there are panels with laser engraved logo inside and outside, loops, buckles etc. In fact, really useful thing is a shock-cord with cord-lock on bottom – it allows to compress the waistpack so I can change its dimen- sions if I want and need to in a single move. Belt, or I would rather say strap (thank God it's not as narrow as I have seen sometimes) with hooks raised fear of getting unhooked, but I was wrong – such design has not disappointed me so far. The same goes with triglide buckle that doesn't move on its own and still stays on place. About looks, so far Multicam is fine for me but I crave M81 Woodland! Understand me, there is a lot of different waistpack designs, more or less similar to each other so sometimes they re good and some- times you just don't want to talk about them. But this particular product is for me perfectly made, no has- sle at all using it. I even begin liking it... Lotos is testing www.fragoutmag.com
