JACKET Jacket (or Coat) is very close to MCCUU one. It has simple cut, slightly fitted in waist area, with four pockets (two on chest and two on sleeves). And that's all of similarities. Collar is slightly different. It's mandarin style, lower at the ends, higher in the nape area. It can be folded down or put up. The way you close the jacket is totally different – no buttons on the front but two-way YKK zipper sewn in on whole length from the very bottom up to the collar. No windflap underneath. Chest pockets are not flat as those in MCCUU (despite the same shape), but have hems on outer side and bot- tom. They are closed with flaps with two Velcro parts and the left flap has a hole put a pen through (hole is made in a line of stitching holding the flap). Sleeve pockets are even more different from those found in MCCUU. Closing flaps have Velcro instead of buttons which is way better solution for arm pockets because closing them, especially without looking on them and in gloves, might be a hassle when buttons are used. There are hems similar to those in chest pockets. Place for ID markers were placed on the flaps, similar to the ones in the ACU uniforms. In the mid- dle of flap is a square Velcro loop which matches the size of 1" IR tape aka glint tape. IR tab itself is sewn on the seg- ment of ribbon fabric which is sewn into the same stitch- ing holding the flap (underneath the flap). Under the IR tab there is Velcro hook. If it is not needed, it can be stored inside the pocket and if you need to use it, you just pull it from the pocket and place it on Velcro loop on the flap. The most interesting thing are elastic parts in elbow are. There are no double layers of fabric on elbows like in MC- CUU which are also pockets for protective insert. In that particular jacket are big pieces of elastic Spandex sewn the way that they surround whole elbow joint what pro- vides unobcured movement. It can be noticed during "ev- ery day" wear (while bending elbows cuffs are staying on place) but the best effect is when you wear elbow pads. In contrary to NYCO Twill MCCUU, when you tightly fit the cuffs and bend the arm in elbow joint nothing limits the movement. Moreover, there is no feeling that every next move will cause sliding the material from beneath the el- bow pad – elastic material of those pieces is stretching in four ways elbow pads are kept in place and the material beneath them is "working". Sleeves' cuffs is identical as those in MCCUU. They are closed with flap with single button and 3 holes in the each cuff. Such solution, more tricky to do up, prevents but- tons of catching into gear are tearing away. Jacket (or Coat) is very close to MCCUU one.
