HS403B Holosun HS403B is compact and lightweight sight powered with single CR2032 battery. Battery is held in tray secured with two screws. The sight has multi-layer coating on the lens and features automatic turn on & turn off mode. As an owner of shooting training company, I've decided to pass the si- ght to beginner shooters. Guys with not so much of experience are great guinea pigs can verify the sight itself and its foolproofness. During the review, sigh was atta- ched on the top of .223 10.5" Radi- cal Firearms AR. In shooting training process, it is crucial to explain to the students the difference between iron sight and optoelectronics. We we- ren't surprised when it came out that shooting with red points is easier and more effective. The aiming time de- crease three times and accuracy was highly improved. The intuitive control, good ergonomics and properly sized (2 MOA) dot makes HS403B a user- -friendly sight. Having in mind that shooting tra- ining company must have a number of guns in inventory and the fact that this kind of firearms is wearing down way faster, the main criteria such as durability (T6061-T6 aircraft alumi- num CNC-machined body), weather- proof (IP67 compliant) and operatio- nal temperature range (from -10C to +50C) must be met. Holosun HS403B passes in all of categories above. Pri- ce-wise it is a pretty damn nice sight. Very often, few rifles packed in one bag, bumps on each other. Sometimes the student hits the barricade or door wall or frame with rifle or sights. So- metimes the guns just fall. There are some "battle scars" on the sight now, but after five months of constant use it is still working and holds the settings. Main flaw? The way you replace the battery. It requires Allen Key as the battery is placed on the tray. To open the tray you need to remove two screws, eject the tray, replace batte- ry and repeat everything backwards. It takes time and it can't be done without the key. What's more, the tray is bit flimsy and delicate, maybe that's the reason backup one is included. Just to summarize. Could be better, but in this price is exceptional sight. BY KRO CU ACCESSORIES
