S U R E F I R E California-based Surefire is now 40 years old (older than most of our readers!) so the 2019 is im- portant year for the company. During the SHOT Show 2019, some new products were launched. The 600 lumens XR1 and XR2 are rechargeable (magnetic charged battery) variants of compact XC1 and XC2 weapon lights. The XR2, except the white light, features the red or green visible laser poin- ter. The legacy XC2 has also a new variant of XC2-A-IRC with IR laser pointer and IR LED illuminator. The latest (and biggest) addition to the compact weapon lights in Surefire's portfolio is XVL2 fe- aturing 400 lumens output white light LED, IR illuminator, green laser pointer and IR laser pointed. The XVL2 was designed to fit the handguns, but it can be also used with rifles. U N I T Y T A C T I C A L Unity Tactical manufactures dedicated firearms accessories and mounts. Latest addition to their portfolio are the FAST family mo- unts. First is FAST Micro Mount for Aimpoint T-1/T-2, CompM5 si- ghts or other sights with same footprint. What makes it unique is 2.26" optical centerline height for faster reticle acquisition when shooting with NVGs and gas mask. It also features backup iron si- ght integrated in the mount. FAST Riser is based on the same idea but was developed for EOTech EXPS and Vortex UH-1 style sights. The last addition is FTC Aimpoint Mag Mount, a raised flip mount for Aimpoint Magnifier. The magnifier features the flip-to center mechanism allowing for lowest profile when folded. The optic will no longer hand on the side of the gun. REPORT
