be caught by magazine catch. Gen 2 works. Barrel is truly quickly changeable. It does not require any additional tools, all we need to do is to re- lease two latches (they work simi- lar to those in Glock pistol) behind the handguard at the both sides of upper receiver to release bar- rel with gas block simply forward. Barrel has A2 style muzzle device compatible with suppressors and the bayonet can be also fixed to it. There is rotating loop added to the gas block for weapon sling. Bayo- net was designed and manufac- tured by Fox Knifes Company and it is combination of field knife, bay- onet and wire cutter. The lever hidden in the trigger guard has two functions. It can be used to release the magazine with the thumb and to release the bolt carrier group from the back posi- tion after inserting full magazine. seconds without necessity of tak- ing down the whole rifle. Each side of upper receiver also features two loops to weave the sling. Lower receiver is monolithic poly- mer mold integrated with pistol grip, trigger guard and magazine well. What is worth to notice, the lower and upper receivers are connected without any screws or pins! Above the pistol grip there is ambidextrous 3-position selector switch: S (safe), 1 (single shot) and R (full auto). Rifle is fed from standard STANAG magazines that can be released with as many as three buttons. Two standard magazine release buttons are placed on the sides of the lower receiver and third is a lever placed right in front of the trigger guard. Beretta ARX 160 A3 is not compat- ible with Magpul PMAG M3 mag- azines. PMAG cannot be inserted into the magazine deep enough to the longest part of the rail is partially covered by plastic cover that can be taken off to attach GLX 160 under barrel grenade launcher. Beretta ARX 160 A3 is ambidextrous weapon and ejection ports are located on both sides of the upper. Just behind them there are overmolds that work as case deflectors. The way of chang- ing the direction of cases extraction is super easy. In the rear part of upper receiver, near the hinge of the stock, there is a round hole. Inside that hole is button that allow user to change the direction. Simple put some pointy object (i. ex. a bullet) inside and give it a little push. There are two of those holes at both sides of the rifle to change direction. Charging handle can also be changed from right to left in a matter of few Monolithic upper receiver was made of rugged technopolymer in black color, strengthened with aircraft grade aluminum inserts. Top of the gun there is a full-length Picatinny rail for sights and accessories. The ARX 160 A3 comes with fac- tory foldable buck up iron sight. The handguard is pretty wide and looks very massive. It has multiple angled narrow ventilation slits for en- hanced barrel cooling on the sides. Just above them there is row of squared vent holes (in the first design ARX 160 they were narrow and diag- onal). Hands of the shooter are protected from accidental burns by thin aluminum screens. In the front part of the rail between ventilation holes there are placed three short Picatinny rails at the 3, 6 and 9 o' clock positions. Bottom one, www.fragoutmag.com
