Barrel extensions are comple- tely different due the barrel chan- ge system. The ACR has toolless quick change barrel and MSBS has "simple" change barrel which requires tools. To remove barrel in ACR it is required to lock the bolt in the rear, remove the hand- guard and unlock the lever loca- ted under the barrel and rotate it to the side. Then barrel will slide out from extension for removal. The MSBS barrel is attached with barrel extension and double-sided turnbuckle. To detach the barrel, it is required to unscrew the turn- buckle with Allen wrench (comes in the maintenance kit) on the one side and to pop out the barrel. To re-attach, barrel must be reinser- ted to the housing and secured with turnbuckle. We didn't compa- re barrels since the ACR had after- market one, with heavier profile. Polymer lower receivers of both ACR and MSBS share the AR-style design. The ACR has fixed pistol grip and MSBS has removable one. There are some slight differences in the rear side as the stocks are attached in a different way. ACR stock adapter is hold in place with pin and upper with lower receiver are connected with two pins. For disassembly, the rear receiver pin must be removed, then stock ada- pter pin can be removed. Control switches are similar in design and layout. It's clear that MSBS team was inspired by ori- ginal Masada and its design was chosen as the most ergonomic one. The subtle difference is the shape of bolt release lever: MSBS lever is in the trigger guard, ACR has it on magazine well.
