declared out of service in 1958. In 1965, another unit of
the same name, a minesweeper originating from project
206F (tactical number 618), had its flag raised. The vessel
was used by the 13th Minesweeper Squadron until 1994,
taking part in a range of training missions and operations
involving disposing of the explosive ordnance found in
the depths of the Polish sea territory.
The new Albatros will replace another vessel built as
part of the 206F minesweeper series. The replaced unit
is ORP Flaming; a 206F project minehunter after its up-
grade. The presence of ORP Flaming during the launching
ceremony had a symbolic meaning. The event involved
