The vessel was constructed with the employment of the
experience gained during the construction and operation
of ORP Kormoran, so the unit will be slightly different
from its predecessor. The most noticeable (and visible)
change will be the artillery equipment featured on board
– a 35 mm naval weapon system cannon instead of the
ZU-23-2MR Wróbel weapon suite used on the Kormoran.
Due to the requirements of the technological process and
the characteristics of the unit, the launching took place
in a floating dock – not on a traditional slipway. This way
it will be easier to carry out the remaining finishing works.
