INSIDE Let's start from the back: hydration sys- tem compartment. It is there but lack any kind of strap to attach the bladder or to route the tube. Bladder will move and roll. At least mine which is 2.5-liter volume. Maybe the bigger bladder would not move in the compartment. Theo- retically, the bladder could be attached to the strap in the main compartment, but the hydration compartment zipper would be left opened. The hydration tube routing system was definitely designed for right-handed users. Zipper is one side only and it can only be routed through the zipper (when zipper is not closed comple- tely). There is no routing loop. When tube is finally on the shoulder strap, it might be only routed under an elastic webbing strap. I had to add MOLLE tube trap on my own. Internal pockets: There are four internal pockets with mesh body. Two are zippe- red and two have cinched top. In standard backpack setup, the zippered pockets are on the back of main compartment and cinched ones are on the sides. This layout works pretty well, the only thing I would change is the direction of zipper openings. To open the pocket you need to push the zipper down. The placement of zippers is well-thought and allows for full access to the pockets. Problem with the pockets is somewhere else. They are small and flat and the MOL- LE webbing straps are just above them. If you will place something bit thicker above, then access to the pocket will be restric- ted. When the pack is fully opened this won't occur, but sometimes you can't lay it flat and open. In my case, I mostly ac- cess the pack from the top so I had to cho- ose: to gave neat access to things I really need (blocking the pockets simulatnosly) or more convenint access to the pockets. Choose one. www.fragoutmag.com
