It is based on THeMIS – Tracked Hybrid Modular Infantry System with Javelin ATGM launch- tested during live fire shooting at the US Army Redstone Test Center. the successful Estonian platform but with six Brimstone ATGM launchers was displayed by MBDA. Using digital targeting data provided by the standard secure military networks, the system will be capable of engaging line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight targets, with a choice of radar and engagement modes. The SA80A3 is a third upgrade batch (first contract was also awarded for H&K in early 2000's). The modernization package was unveiled for the first time during the DSEI 2017, as a potential proposal. SA80A3/L85A3 features new lightweight handguard with HKey mounting interface, full-length top Picatinny rail for electro-optics and Flat Dark Earth color. The goal is to extend life of rifles until 2025. There was also helicopter mock-up to demonstrate one-stop-shop concept of helicopter mission-configurable armament systems. System features: FN D-HUD – precision weapon guidance system, FN D-PC – cannon and rockets digital management system and FN D-POD universal gun mount system.
