ORP "Ślązak" patrol corvette - after 18 years it finally
has become a part of the Polish Navy.
It was on November 28th 2019, on the occasion of the 101st
anniversary of the Polish Navy, when two events took place. These
events could be considered to be a first ray of the sun on a cloudy day
for the Polish Navy that has found itself in a situation that can only be
described as a crisis. The Navy has introduced the ORP "Ślązak" OPV
into its inventory and it has also announced that a gap filler solution
would be acquired in case of the submarines, providing relevant
capabilities before the "Orka" new generation vessels are acquired.
