If we are headed east to get up-close and personal with the Russian
military aviation, during the MAKS Aviasalon for instance, it would
be a major negligence not to pay a visit to the Central Air Force
Museum in Monino, near Moscow. Since many years now, rumors
have been circulated around, suggesting that the Museum could
be a subject to potential transfer or liquidation. These rumors have
been denied however, by the employees of the Monino Museum
this year. Furthermore, the Museum is also a subject to renovation
works - both when it comes to its infrastructure, as well as the
exhibits. Thus, the rumors about Monino's death are seemingly
ungrounded.
