2020 SHOT SHOW 101 Bunch of pro-tips from the guys who'd been there and done that. 1. Arrive as soon as you can. Las Vegas is minus 8 or even 9 hours from most of European countries. Jet Lag sucks and you are going to need some time to adjust. GET REST! 2. Pick up your badge at the airport or in the hotels (check the SHOT website). It's the best way to avoid lines. 3. Comfortable shoes are the most important thing at the SHOT. The expo is huge so plan accordingly and don't try to visit every booth. You will be making 20-25 km per day. 4. According to official stats, you would need 22 seconds per booth if you wish to visit them all. Fortunately for you, you really don't need to. 5. Wash your hands as often as you can and use hand disinfectors (buy one or use the ones at booths). Dozen thousands of people from around the world? Bacterias and viruses love it. There is even SHOT Show Flu phenomena. 6. Only daylight you are going to see is the morning light. Suck it up. SHOT is not in the real expo center as in most of the European shows. 7. It's a trade show, not a marketplace. You can't buy anything there so don't ask your friends attending the show to buy you something. Plus, sales are forbidden and seller's are risking the IRS visit and booth shut down. Yes, we have seen booths closed because of broken rules. 8. Don't ask someone at SHOT "have you been in a casino"? Las Vegas is a big casino. To enter SHOT you need to go through the casino… 9. Don't take every piece of paper. Your back and spine are going to thank you later. 10. When you are packing back home, please make sure that none of the swag you grabbed at show, does not look like rounds or ammunition. TSA will take care of you… REPORT
