PLATATAC
Platatac is a tactical business of Australian Platypus
Outdoor company. Their gear is becoming more visible
here in Europe. During the DSEI 2019 in London they
have presented the MALOU (Maritime Amphibious Lit-
toral Operations Uniform) from Multicam stretch fab-
ric. In Paris, "Ozzies" had MALOU set consisting of
DAX Combat Pants and CUTS combat shirt from heavy-
weight Tweave Durastrech softshell fabric in Wolf Grey
color for cold weather use.
FOX FURY
This American company is manufacturer of lighting
systems such as ballistic shield mounted lights. Tac-
tical Electronic Distraction Device (T.E.D.D.) is their
"electronic flash bang grenade" developed for riot con-
trol where use of classic flash-bang (stun grenades)
would to hazardous (risk of explosion of fire). The
steel-polymer body is fully waterproof and 3 meter
impact resistance. When activated, it generates 2600
lumens of white light flash and 120 db sound. Battery
life is 60 minutes.
