for relevant addition of extra weaponry and equipment in the future. What is equally relevant, the warships in question provide the crews with very high levels of comfort. Considering the current requirements, the war- ships would be spending a lot of time far away from the homeland shores, being tasked with force projection in remote parts of the world. It is ironic though, within the context of the Type 31 pro- gram, that Canada and Australia decided to procure the Type 26 vessels too. Both nations would procure 24 ves- sels in total. They British design is going to be tailored to meet the specific requirements of the new customers. The aforesaid success make one doubt the justified na- ture of the decision to develop an entirely new vessel class, that are being built for the Royal Navy in a num- ber of 5 warships. Let us recall the fact that one of the primary justifications of the design was the option of offering vessels that would stand a greater chance of success on the export market. NAVY
