competitor
for
the
famous
5.7
x
28
mm
FN
Five-seveN
pistol.
For
years
this
caliber
wasn't
popular
due
to
the
high
cost
of
gun
and
ammunition,
even
its
performance
was
excellent.
Except
guns
from
FN,
only
some
rare
AR
conversion
kits
were
available.
Ruger
decided
to
release
its
budget-friendly
5.7
mm
gun
–
the
Ruger-57.
Pistol
is
a
polymer-frame
striker-fired
pistol
with
stainless
steel
slide.
It
has
ambidextrous
safety
switches,
clear
iron
sights
with
fiber
front
post
and
adjustable
rear
sight.
The
rear
part
of
the
slide
is
factory-milled
for
red
dot
attachment.
Ruger-57
is
fed
from
a
20
round
maga-
zine.
