"Lampart '19" has been a crowning stage of a long-term training for the Warsaw-based armored brigade. The operation took place at the training range in Nowa Dęba, in November 2019. There, the Brigade's personnel was perfecting the skills, also being involved in tasks conducted in field conditions. The main goal of the exercise was to verify the knowledge, expertise and the acquired skills. Apart from "field" verification of the level of readiness the "Lampart '19" also tested the planning, organization and command skills for the commanding officers of the tank battalion and of the engineering company, especially with regards to the subordinated combat team elements, during the operational activities. The exercise also put the commanders' skills to a practical test, within the scope of effectively conducting the command processes, resolving the tactical problems and efficiently making decisions and issuing orders. The 1st Armored Brigade had begun its field training activities a couple of weeks before the actual exercise. First the personnel and the relevant assets were deployed to Nowa Dęba where training began, dedicated for the Leopard 2A4 and Leopard 2A5 MBT crews, among other personnel. In early November the company was involved in live-fire training, with numerous exercises within the scope of firing the gun and fire control. The training was taking place during the day and in limited visibility conditions as well. REPORT
