with magnifiers but are tad less comfortable for south- paws. As a side note, our older XPS had controls with "click" and the 2020 made ones are softer. XPS is slightly lower than EXPS because of different base mounts, so if you wish to use the G.33 magnifier with EXPS, you must install a spacer. In our opinion, the XPS mount is slightly too low for AR but still more com- fortable than EXPS. The XPS is absolute co-witness and EXPS is 1/3 co-witness, so you need to decide what you prefer. Also, the iron sights on your rifle will determine. When placing the sight on top of your rifle make sure to have a proper lock on the mount. Sometimes, the rails have some tolerances in dimensions. The QD lever is easily operated with a thumb. Windage and elevation adjustment knobs are located on the right wall of the sights. Each, crisp, click chang- es the point of aim 1/2 Minute of Angle (MOA), ¼ inch (6.35 mm) at 50 yards (45.7 m), or ½ inch (12.7 mm) at 100 yards (91 m) when zeroing. Also, one full rotation of either knob will change the point of aim approximate- ly 10 MOA, 5 inches (127 mm) at 50 yards (45.7 m), or 10 inches (254 mm) at 100 yards (91 m) when zero- ing. To move the point of impact UP, turn the elevation adjustment LEFT. To move the point of impact RIGHT, turn the windage adjustment RIGHT. Maximum adjust- ments are +/-40 MOA. The large window (approx 30 x 23 mm) provides a clear and crisp image of target and surroundings. The front window is 3.17 mm thick glass and the rear is 4.76 mm polymer. Polymer body and aircraft aluminum protective hood make the sight robust and durable. Hood keeps the rain drops away from the window too. We don't walk the eggshells with our guns so it happened once or twice to bang the rifle or sights. But the HWS are still in pristine condition. Rain, cold or heat did not have a negative im- pact on them and thermal drift does not occur in tem- perate zones. We had no problems with fogging, shift of point of aim or whatsoever. In terms of life span, well red dots beat the HWS. According to the manual, single CR123A cells allow for 1000 hours of continuous operations on 12th illumination settings. ACCESSORIES
