Regrettably, the images in the media show the offi-
cers often equipped with safety dust-only suits that
do not protect against biological agents - this can also
contribute to a spread of SARS-CoV-2. In this case, the
claim that any suit is better than none is incorrect, par-
ticularly if the user is mistaken that he/she is equipped
with the correct PPE.
Trainings and habits
Equally important as having the equipment is using it.
Training how to put and take off the PPE and work in
it is of importance - a purpose of such training should
be to develop appropriate habits. The proper protection
and disposal of the worn suit is another issue. Bearing in
mind that the PPE had better be widely used in the public
order protection services, its use should be one of the
elements of the essential training.
