Honestly speaking, I was initially
a bit worried about the final outcome of
this test. I know the 5.11 Tactical brand
since 2004-2005 and already had some
of their stuff. There were ups but there
were downs too.
For some time I even avoided the 5.11
products because overall quality de-
creased and the design was… at least
not the best one. But something had
to change a couple years ago because
some new stuff had impressive designs,
great fabrics and cool features. Finally,
I got my hands on 5.11 Tactical AMP24
pack, designed to carry 32 liters of stuff
for at least 24 hours of operations or…
182 flashbangs. That tiny text on the la-
bel had me sold.
The Ranger Green AMP24 was my
daily companion in everyday work (aka
mobileoffice) and multiple trips around
the world. Trade shows, hiking, shooting
range, flying with carry-on, even business
meetings sometimes. IMHO it's perfectly
optimized for this kind. It's not too small,
so I can fit all my essentials and it is not
too big, so I don't pack the stuff I don't
really need (because there is still some
space left). The pack has a huge number
of pockets for storage. The main zipper
has an inverted U-letter/clamshell layout
with four zipper-pulls (aka Quad-Zip_ for
