some more variants of the pistols including the ones with suppres- sor-ready threaded barrels. Some custom Kydex holsters workshops released their holster for the VIS 100 since the only dedicated model is a military holster non-available on the market. But it seems that some SIG Sauer P226 holsters are compatible with VIS 100 too. Also, the spring of the magazine must be replaced. Both spring and base pads come with the gun. As mentioned above, the VIS100 M1 is a commercial variant of the military VIS100. The reasons why the commercially available pistol had to be different than the military one are resulting from the project funding requirements. Some of the R&D funding of the VIS100 duty pis- tol came from European Union pro- grams and the rules of the programs prohibited commercial sales of fire- arms identical to the military ones. There are some slight differences between these two pistols: ► Different shape of front and rear slide serrations (VIS100 M1 ones are definitely better looking and more comfortable in use) ► Improved texture on the front of the grip ► Fiber optics sights straight out of the box ► Factory-milled cut for optics ► Extended capacity magazines ► The trigger seems to be slight- ly different than in the MIL-SPEC variant. Obviously, the VIS 100 M1 (and VIS 100) has its roots in MAG-95 and MAG-98 pistols developed by Marian Gryszkiewicz in the 1990s. From the outside, all the pistols are quite similar but completely different internally. The Fabryka Broni VIS 100 M1 is completely not compatible with MAG-95/98 and none of the parts can be used inter- changeably. The MSRP of VIS 100 M1 is 2599 PLN (approx. 590 EUR or 670 USD on the day of the release). The gun comes with a polymer box, two 17 round magazines (with 15 rounds conversion kits), additional back- strap, micro RDS adapter plate and simple cleaning kit. Available now in gun stores in Poland. Unfortu- nately, we don't have idea when it is going to be available outside of Poland. First batch of approx. 300 pistols was sold out in a day or two after the launch. Just recently, manufac- turers announced the release of a new batch including the cerakot- ed pistols in Green and Flat Dark Earth. Maybe soon we can expect SPECS: www.fragoutmag.com
