helmet mounts. The Rail Mount Kit is now a separate product which might be purchased as an option. The arms were redesigned and now there are two springs in each of them. They are extendable so the placement of ear cups might be perfectly adjusted. Arms can be now opened in only one position. The opening button is for- ce-to-overcome. Just use some force to close or open them, no buttons are required. In a fully open position, when the ear cups are rotated 90 dergrees away from the helmet you will look like a Tactical Mickey Mouse. The Rail Mount Kit has a polymer bracket (same as in the headband) connected to 360 degree gimbal for best adjustment. Except for the bracket and double spring it works essentially the same as the RAC one. The conversion from headband to rail mounted confi- guration (or vice versa) is quick and rather simple. It is totally toolless and takes a couple minutes only. The only PITA is wire routing and clearing. Initially, the Rail Mount Kit was only compatible with legacy ARC rail but the AMPs became popular so quickly, that MTEK Flux (M-LOK) and Team Wendy EXFIL compatible adapters were developed. Ops-Core AMP ear cups are low-profile and slim but they were redesigned.
