AMP will provide up to 80 hours of constant operation (up to 120 without NFMI).For those who like to have the- ir gear matched in the same camouflage pattern, Ops- Core has pre-cut vinyl stickers in Multicam versions. AMP are now available in Tan 499, Urban Grey, Foliage Green and Black. Huge win for Ops-Core was the 2019 USSOCOM contract award for SF Super High Cut Ballistic Helmets and AMP Headsets as new headborne protection system. AMP is now part of Communications Accessory Suite Land together with Invisio V60 PTT control unit and Invisio X5 low-profile in-ear headset. It means that for the next couple of years, all US SOF units will be using the AMP as their primary hearing protection and communication headsets. The only complaint some users reported about RACs and AMPs is the lack of soft gel ear pads as in ComTacs. Currently, Ops-Core offers only PU foam ear pads which are comfortable but not as soft as gel ones. The reason is the NRR rating – the gel pads will decrease the no- ise protection. Pro tip: AMP/RAC are compatible with Noisefighters AD100 pads - outer lip may overlap and need to be removed with knife / scissors, but this is only an aesthetic issue. Depending on the setup, AMP in headband configura- tion weights from 386 grams (w/o cable) to 455 grams (with Amphenol cable and NFMI plugs). In helmet con- figuration it will be from 419 grams to 495 grams. The RAC headset was 500 grams w/o NFMI and 545 grams with NFMI plugs. HEARING PROTECTION
