#BuiltForTheMission MR uses the hashtag „built for the mission," and since these are different, it was also decided to create an urban line with a tactical twist, but not necessarily sewn from the strongest materials, as those for everyday use in the urban jun- gle would simply be gross overkill. Thus was born the 2DAP, a scaled- -down and somewhat simplified version of the classic 3DAP - the base model has about 33 liters of capacity, while the 2DAP has 27 liters, so everything here is a few percent smaller. MR 2DAP was built for every-day-carry use, thus all the fabrics are not NIR compliant, etc. SUSPENSION SYSTEM The carrying system is based on profi- led shoulder straps with a shape similar to flattened S letters and polymer back frame - it is not the full Futura with „Yoke" known from full-size MR packs, but re- fers to it in concept. The carrying system is offered in two sizes - S/M and L/XL, so pay attention to this when buying (a ta- ble with dimensions can be found on the MR's website). The back part and the in- ner part of the harness are softly padded with foam and spacer mesh to improve po-air circulation in this region. The two-point adjustable shoulder straps are connected by a sternum strap. Between the straps there is a we- bbing loop that serves as a transport handle. The 2DAP has a very simple hip belt made from a 50mm wide webbing strap fastened with a large buckle. It is attached with two grommets, so if it is not used, it can be quickly removed or hidden under the external side pockets. MAIN COMPARTMENT The main compartment of the bac- kpack was sewn from PU-coated 500D Cordura with DWR which increases we- ather resistance. Its interior is a smo- oth, single-color nylon matching the color scheme of the backpack. A clas- sic Mystery Ranch access system to the main compartment was used here, consisting of three YKK AquaGuard Y-shaped zippers - a central one that unzips the side wings, and two diago- nal ones, diverging from its upward at a slant, serving as the de facto flap ope- ning. This solution allows you to unfa- sten only the flap or full access to the main compartment, depending on your needs. The zippers have small pieces of 550 cord serving as pull tabs. Going from the top of the 2DAP, we have two pockets in the flap (fastened with a YKK AquaGuard zipper), one smaller and a larger one with the inner part made of mesh. There are no or- ganizers in any of them - the only parr intended for keeping stuff in place is a loop on the inside of the flap. There are flat loops of webbing at the zippers of these pockets, which can be used to clip in small D-rings, for example. In the main compartment there are a total of four pockets - two on each "wing" side of the main compartment. Narrow poc- kets open from the top have a capacity perfectly sized for a 1.5-liter PET bottle. Right next to them are zippered mesh pockets - great for keeping smaller stuff. The last pocket is a padded inter- nal pocket on the back, intended for a www.fragoutmag.com
