SHASH Despite the fact that a lot of backpacks have passed through my hands, of different models and different manufacturers, the 2DAP is actually my first Mystery Ranch backpack that I have used for a longer period of time. Since we were to describe it in detail, it was necessary to get... used to it. The important thing with any MR backpack, is the necessity to choose the right size of the su- spension system, and then adjust the backpack properly. If you don't do this, you may be met at the train station by an elderly, gray-haired American- sized guy (Dana Gleason wink) and he will do it for you. The rabbit had this happen because he didn't adjust his backpack. Once you have this stage be- hind you, everything should go from the top. As with all the products of #theranch, the bac- kpack is sturdy - it may not be as rugged as the military or firefighter line, but it's a conscious de- cision by the manufacturer. These backpacks are meant for urban, everyday use and light trekking or hiking and not for combat use. And that's how they should be used. All seams are even, there are no protruding threads or other imperfections Well, I wore, wore and now I report to you: so- mehow, I did not get used to 2DAP. Simply no love. It was used daily (car, bike, public transport) com- muting, was on a couple of trips out of town and to the mountains, and somehow it did not become a favorite „good to go" backpack. Was I not capti- vated by the magic of the brand? Probably not that. Comfort and convenience? There were no problems with it - the carrying system is comforta- ble. Interior organization? It's poor - if this is suppo- sed to be a backpack for EDC, then I'm unsteadily missing the ability to compartmentalize everything I have with me in a mobile office. While documents and a laptop are not a problem, the trouble arises when trying to organize all the little things from markers, pens, and other trinkets. The 5.11 AMP24 is unbeatable in this regard, and yet it remains my top choice for EDC. MR 2DAP is a well-made, stur- dy backpack, but somehow it didn't convince me. EQUIPMENT
