T here were numerous differ- ences between the 2022, and 2021 edition of the Grot-focused events - starting from the venue, and the event program to finish with. Above everything else, this year's edition of the event was taking place at the K-0151 compound. The designation does not refer to any secret lab, or facili- ty, as it denotes the WOT HQ (Terri- torial Defence Forces) in Zegrze. In the past the compound hosted the Communications Officer's School. On day two, the event was moved to the Bellona Shooting Range in Marynino, a 100,000 square meters facility, with shooting lanes with range distances available from 25 to 5,000 meters. DAY ONE był Day one had a typical conference profile, with speeches and presentations referring to var- ious aspects related to the GROT assault rifle. Backstage talks also happened. The day's program was finalized by a debate, involving us- ers, designers, and the manufactur- er. General Wiesław Kukuła, com- mander of the WOT, made the opening speech. After welcoming the attendees, he briefly summa- rized GROT rifles' lifetime in the WOT branch and the Land Forces. Col. Tadeusz Binko, head of the Administration Department of the TDF, outlined the details of the use of the rifle in his branch. After that, the floor was taken by Col. Paweł Wiktorowicz, commanding officer of the 9th "Łódzka '' Territorial De- fence Brigade. All of those speech- es had an official profile, and they were quite general, but some in- teresting findings were uncovered anyway, such as data referring to complaints percentage concerning the latest C16 FB-A2 variant of the GROT rifle...coming at a whooping 0.18%. Some of the debates also covered the process of the user "getting used to", or "familiariza- tion" with the new rifle.
