bit set clip assembly armored pliers stud is much more convenient than the notch in the blade used before. SAW – Not too long, but friggin' sharp and great for cutting wood and similar materials. One-handed opening and lock- ing. SCISSORS Tiny, because the blades are somehow about an inch long, but very sharp, with a convenient lever and a spring that automatically opens the blades. Perfect for precision cutting, al- though they will also cut less precise things, but if this cut is a lot or the ma- terial is thicker, however, it will be heavily cumbersome. FILE – Again "Leatherman himself", that is, on one side a form of peeler, on the oth- er a diamond dust, and on the underside a narrow peeler for precision sawing. ACCESSORY TOOLS The set of other tools is already very different from the FREE P4 and, it must be said, is much better and definitely more versatile. Of course, all the tools are opened with one hand, locked with a back lock, and offer the possibility of effortless folding with one hand. Can opener –a classic tin knife that works "forward," that is, when cutting through a can lid, you work it by moving it forward, which means that you apply force by pulling the handle upward. Leatherman's bit holder – This feature was absent in P2 and P4, and in the ARC it replaced the fixed flat and Phillips screwdrivers. A great decision, expand- ing the spectrum of applications tremen- dously, because it gives you the possibil- ity to use bit extensions. And still in the set we get one double-sided bit in the handle and nine double bits in a plastic leaf. The handle is the same as in other Leatherman models, with a spring-load- ed lock to hold the bit in place. Awl – Well, an awl, like an awl, simply a steel skewer with a sharp edge, at the base of which a stripping knife was made, but no longer in the form of a trian- gle, but a semicircular cutout. Micro screwdriver holder A scaled-down version of the bit holder, designed to hold a flat or Phillips micro screwdriver (it comes with a double-sid- ed one). Well known from older tools of this manufacturer. Bottle Opener And finally, a cap opener with a "under- mining tool", that is, a de facto miniature crowbar, which can also be doubleed as a large flathead screwdriver. And that's it - 20 tools in total plus 9 dou- ble-sided bits. Oh, there's also a belt clip, well, but it's not a tool. It attaches to the top of one handle, and the user has the option of flipping it to the other side. Leatherman ARC comes packaged in a nice cardboard box with an eco-friend- ly extrusion to accommodate all the kit components. Interestingly, although it's a FREE line, the packaging is not like that www.fragoutmag.com
