capacity, secure the raw materials and components supply chain, and also shorten the delivery times. Similarly, as during the previous years, Zakłady Chemiczne Nitro-Chem S.A. is also engaged in more initiatives aimed at minimizing the negative environmental footprint of the business and following sustainable development principles. The main activities within the scope of sustainable development in the environmental dimensions have been aimed at diminishing energy and water consumption. These actions are focused on limiting the consumption of natural resources and reducing the emission of greenhouse gases. In that way, the company contributes to the fight against climate change. Within the framework of these activities, the company decided to set up two PV systems with a total power output of 100 kW, and next year that initiative is planned to be continued. More PV panels, with a power output of up to 100 kW, are to be installed. When it comes to reduction of the water consumption, closed-circuit water management was implemented. The facility took action aimed at modifying and expanding the internal wastewater treatment plant and establishing a water recovery system. The main goal of this investment is to limit the water consumption within the manufacturing processes, and also reduce the quantity of industrial wastewater created by the plant. Within the aforesaid scope, Nitro- Chem S.A. submitted a request to the Ministry of State Assets, asking for support for the planned investment.
