www.fragoutmag.com you take longer to aim. Lots of satisfaction! And since it was probably already 4:00 PM, the heat had subsided, and fatigue, hunger, and... And the last stage on our list of glory: "Another one bites the dust." It turned out we were just pretending to be tired; our energy reserves allowed us to launch a final attack of this "summit" in great shape. We started with CPR, just compressions on the poor dummy; for three minutes we had to bring him back to life, then a battering ram breach and lots of shooting through windows in a wall, then we breach a door with the ram, activate a moving target, and open fire. There was so much shooting that even six magazines might not have been eno- ugh. Kamil, part of our team, showed some serious skills by shooting (while maintaining a safe angle) with a pistol at a target that theoretically couldn't be hit from where he was standing. All in all, that's probably why he ended up on the podium as the winner of the second day of competition! In summary – Defcon One wasn't that scary for our "retired squad," it wasn't too physically de- manding, didn't require any medical intervention, didn't disappoint us in terms of stage difficulty, didn't ruin our fun because of the range officers' moods, and didn't even give us reasons to be angry about our screw-ups on the stages. Instead, Def- con One gave us a new level of quality in compe- titions, where the people creating the atmosphere, dedicated to the action, give it their all, I mean a "full 30%", and they do it because they want to and they can. They give us a prize-giving ceremony, not just for those on the podium, they give us those mega steaks on tables adorned with flowerpots, waving Polish flags, and fairy lights around the pa- tio, creating a great vibe – we felt like we simply had a super day with super buddies. We didn't write about many things, probably becau- se we forgot a lot in all the excitement. For some, it was three days of fighting and good fun, lots of cool and new friends, even international ones. Safe, friendly, and meeting the expected level. We love rain, forests, mud, and tough conditions; we like it when something is missing or breaks down, when we're covered in mud... but you won't find that at Defcon One; there are other tactical competitions for that. And that's what's great – everyone finds a moment when they know which competition they want to test their skills at. We're really lucky that all over Poland there are teams that organize fanta- stic events, and thanks to their hard work and pas- sion, we can all have a great time! This time, KS Kobe did us right! Thank you everyone!
