The watch strap is made from same resin as the body – it is fastened with a solid metal buckle with two pins and has an almost one centimeter wide, metal loop. From the inside, the strap has visible bulges that are symmetrically arranged at the edges, alternately with rectangular openings allowing ventilation and breathing for skin on the wrist. Although is is made from a soft material that has rubber feel, I have never felt discomfort because of wearing it for several months. The size of the watch – 55.2 mm x 53.5 mm x 18.2 mm – make is quite "large" - 47 mm diameter. Rangeman GW-9400 3RE weights 93 g - not that much. Whether in Europe, North America and Japan or in the outer reaches of Canada, Central America and China - once the watch has been set to the local time, it receives the relevant signal and shows the correct time wherever you are. In many countries, it also sets itself automatically to summer and winter time. This synchronization removes faulty time measurement of the heart of the watch - the 3410 mechanisem. The energy to operate Rangeman is taken from the sun thanks to Tough Solar cells built-in in the display. That makes it self-sufficient – the watch does not need batteries. All it needs is the energy from the inbuilt battery - charge status of which may be checked on the display. All of this, makes it highly energy saving due to the possibility of adjusting the manner and time of display backlight (Full Auto LED). What is peculiar, a single, full charge of the battery guarantees its operation, without sun, for... 7 months! EDC
