New Rheinmetall 130 mm APFSDS vs standard 120
mm APFSDS ammunition comparison. From the very first
view, the capabilities of new 130 mm main gun in destroying
armored threats (like new generation of ballistic protection and
Russian T-14 Armata tanks) are obvious. The 130 mm main gun
is currently a technology demonstrator and it should enter the
serial production around 2025 as a dedicated solution for new
French-German MCGS Main Ground Combat System future
tanks.
