use of ropes. Unlike their predecessor, the sole does not only provide grip, but also is more comfortable. Such application is known from Salomon trail boots. The protector consists of an outer element of layered sole that was based on Advanced Chassis frame, which is a combination of EVA foam (middle layer) and stiff thermally formed PU. Such a mixture provides good cushioning under various terrain circumstances. The sole includes protective overmold- ings that protect the back and the front of the boot. The upper and the sole were bonded together through weld- ing. The Jungle Ultra comes with Ortholite inserts with anti- bacterial properties. Salomon Forces Jungle Ultra are available in two colors – Burro brwon and gray-green Beluga (in 2016, there was also a Sage Green variant, but it was not very popular).
