The sole is quite thin, so I would not recom- mend using it on rocky terrain – do not treat those boots like your alternative for hiking or trekking; they have never been designed for such purposes. The Burro brown goes well with transitional camouflage patterns, such as Crye Precision Multicam, as well as with regular woodland ones like M81 Woodland or Hyde Definition PenCott GreenZone. Some reservations may arise when it comes to the bond- ing between the sole and the upper. At high temperatures, if the layer of glue was not applied properly, the boot may fall apart. Although I see no signs of such defects, when it comes to footwear by Salomon, such situations did happen. But I must admit that the combination of mod- ern technologies (as in trail footwear) with classic jungle boots such as Salomon Forces is probably the best solu- tion of that type available on the market.
