certainly ensures durability and facilitates logistics for the organizers. On the top of these noticeable differences, the route is still demarcated by the bands, the organizers in the high-visibility jackets next to each obstacle, press walls intended for capturing souvenir photos with the medals, a protein bar, energy drinks at the finish line or contain- ers with ice and without it are nearly the same as during our events. The same way of dressing for running, as ev- erybody knows that you should protect your elbows and knees, that you should have only the clothing with per- spiration, because surely all people will be in turns wet and dry, depending on the fantasy of the organizers. The same mode of starting by slots, almost the same setting prior to the start (however, in the case of the Luminox team a little bit different, because a common warming up before the start usually leads somebody from the team of the run organizer, and ours was led by the ex-SEAL). Nevertheless, the devil is in the details – the unique T-shirts and other gadgets from the Tough Viking Collection (well, ours were doubly exceptional as we started under the Luminox flag). Furthermore, I experi- enced neither the stands, the obstacles conceived and handled by the operators of the special units, nor the low flights of the Hercules and Gripen on several occasions during our domestic (civil) runs. Alike as in Poland, it was this, what the enthusiasts of such runs like the most: fire, icy-cold water (in the con- tainer) and a little bit warmer that freezing cold one in the lake. The mud was such tough that pulling out one fellow from the four-person team required the superhuman ef- fort of the remaining three persons. It was the marsh to overcome, heavy bullets for lifting (woman: 50 kilograms, men 80 kilograms), Farmer's Walk (canisters 2 x 20 kg). There was a great deal of the ropes and cord ladders, pulling-ups, downward rides, swinging, etc. Well, there is no 15-km stride in a tunnel, in which were suspended a few hundred spaghetti strands powered with a 10kV voltage from the upper beams. There is still one more issue that link all these events, both organized in Poland, and in Stockholm – great and ultra-positive atmosphere. As the greatest source of immensity of positive energy are the participants www.fragoutmag.com
