The integration of the F-35 Lightning II fighter with the Meteor long-range air-to-air missile ordered by British MoD and carried out by MBDA is scheduled to finish in 2022. The F-35 will be able to carry a maximum of four Meteors with a ducted-ramjet engine ensuring a range "much above 100 km". The MiG-35 (MiG-29M) was the most promoted Russian fighter. Moscow-based OAK is expecting export orders that could help the company maintain and run RSK MiG plants after 2020. So far, there have been 46 MiG-29M/M2 (single-seat 9.41SR and twin-seat 9.47SR) ordered by Egypt. The state trials of the Russian MiG-35S/UB (single-seat 9.41SR and twin-seat 9.47SR) are to end in 2017. www.fragoutmag.com
