COATEE'S TEST Always look cool We all know the Three Rules of Special Forces. „Always look cool", „Never get lost" , „If you get lost, look cool". Carinthia ISG 2.0 is a jacket that I have been using for more than half a year. I will be honest with you – we are great friends now. We have spent a lot of time to- gether, regardless the weather, time of day, and activities I participate in. Rule no. 1 – Always Look Cool When I received my package, I started the most pleasant stage whenever I test new equipment – unboxing. The jacket comes with a compression bag. ISG 2.0 can be seamlessly packed into the bag and reduced to the size of a huge tic-tac. My problem is then over, and I can add it to the rest of the "organizers". I must admit I have been wondering how the jacket would look like after a long storage. After taking it out and putting it on, I hardly noticed any wrinkles. Carinthia ISG 2.0 is uncompromising. The cut of the jacket is athletic. It is a standard Slim Fit shape, which fits well to the user's body. A word of warning here – yes, the jacket motivates the use to take care of yourself, so if you are a proud owner of the so-called "tactical paunch", the jacket will ruth- lessly accentuate it. If you stand in front of a mirror, it will classify you without any second thoughts. Do not expect mercy, everything, especially including the MKR (Mobile Kriegs-Reserve) growing over your waist will be distinguishable and outstanding like an albino in a group of Maasai people. Rule no. 2 – Never get Lost Carinthia ISG 2.0 surprised me with a well-though arrange- ment of pockets. However, I have some "ideological" reserva- tions concerning their functionality. First things first – inside the jacket, both on the right and the left side, there are two pockets. One, at the height of the chest, has a zipper, while the second is a simple that is a perfect hiding place for straight, flat items. Any ad- ditional thing put inside those pockets will, due to their arrangement, accentuate the most annoying male muscle, i.e. the beer muscle, and then you break Rule no. 1:). Unfortunately, the same is with the outer zip- pered pockets . BTW, these are perfect for envelopes. Why? Read once again what I wrote two sentences before. The only two pockets I use are sleeve ones. They can easily hold a 5.5-6" smartphone and some small items, while their ar- rangements and zippers make the access convenient. The jacket also has a re- movable hood that, if necessary, can be rolled up and hidden in the collar, which provides the user with nice warmth seal around the neck. It is also a convenient solution because when the weather changes, you can immediately take the hood out and protect yourself against wind or rain. An option for the lazy? You remove the hood and hide it in your closet, then you will only find it in the most unexpected moment. What I really like in ISG 2.0 is that despite the fact that there www.fragoutmag.com
