of the bullet, what may cause unsealing of the round
and failure to fire. Remember – rounds were not built
to be inserted and extracted from chamber many
times. Such an action is unnatural for them and it has
to be kept in mind.
Most of us, after returning home unloads the fire-
arm and put it somewhere safe. It is necessary to
check the rim of the case that was inserted and
extracted from the chamber many times. If it's rag-
ged, in critical situation it may break off and failure
to extract.
Lessons Learned:
If you carry firearm every day (or even occasionally)
in Condition 1 and you use dedicated special defen-
sive ammunition then:
«Regularly check condition of your ammunition
– placement of the bullet in the casing, signs of
wear on the rim;
«Check condition of magazine – if spring feds well
or if there are any damages;
«Regularly change order of the rounds inside the
magazine, so not only one round will be constant-
ly inserted and extracted from the chamber;
