In the flap there are three pockets in total: flat one in the lower part closed with vertical zipper (for storing flat items, like maps, etc.); in the upper part pocket closed with two-way zipper, with built-in organizer with open-top mesh pocket a small pocket with a flap; internal mesh pocket on the inside of the flap. T asmanian Tiger Modular Pack 30 is a 30 liters pack that could fit as an "assault" or 3-day backpack with single compartment construction closed with a flap on top. Slick and quite streamlined and thanks to its outdoor roots it doesn't scream "tactical" from miles. It must be noted that despite similar name and overall con- cept, both versions of packs are different from each other. The 30 Vent model is more urban low-profile pack, when Modular Pack 30 is more military field pack. F ABRICS to reach the lowest possible weight of the pack, but without sacrificing durability, Cordura 700D was used for main compartment. In places with less chance to be damaged, much thinner but densely woven (for better durability) T-SQUARE RIP 210D rip-stop nylon is used. D ESIGN Backpack has a kind of low-profile single com- partment construction without any sticking out pouches or sewn on front. It is slick and streamlined as mentioned earlier. Even it has a top flap it isn't a top-load- er type of pack – it has a zipper sewn like in inverted U-shape which allows to open it almost to the base so the sides of the main compartment make flaps laying on flat and give access to whole interior. This type of closure is called clam shell style sometimes and most known packs using it are Arc'teryx LEAF Khard/Assault. www.fragoutmag.com
