choice are Leatherman ones, pictured is OHT (One Hand Tool), but during classes I prefer to have MUT on hand, which is dedi- cated multi-tool for rifles. Excellent when bolt over-ride happens. Unfortunately, one of the most expensive ones.stajni Leatherman. 9. Rescue shears. For cutting clothes, belts and anything else when treating wounds. Never had a chance to test them, fortunately, in other scenarios than cutting paper and ropes. Better to have it. 10. Emdom-USA Dump Pouch. –Usually for spent magazines during training, but as instructor or range officer, I carry there tacker, markers, etc. Emdom-USA gear is true top-notch. What I recommend in good dump pouch is a stiffened top edge. A plastic stiffener sewn into the top keeps it open, and also provides support for the pouch, preventing it from sagging shut. 11. Individual First Aid Kit or IFAK. Pictured is Velocity Systems/Mayflower R&C Low-Vis Blow- Out Kit. Small, low-profile and ambidextrous. The only prob- lem is re-inserting the internal packet to outer sleeve. 12. Ear Pro. Spending a lot of time on the shooting-range? Remember about hear- ing loss. Usually I use MSA Sordin Supreme Pro-X in neckband con- figuration with gel pads replacements. These are plushy soft, but after eight hours of constant use, you know that it was worth to buy those. 13. Glock 17 and Surefire X-300 weap- onlight. Choice of the weap- on is an individual case, but you can't go wrong with such combo. 14. CAT TQ. If you are shooter and you don't know what the tourniquet is… bet- ter google it fast. Best tool for quick bleeding control from wounds in arms and legs. A must- have piece of every first aid kit. My TQ is mount- ed outside, without any pouch, so it is exposed to UV, dirt, sand and rain. But I can access it really quick. Remember, this is disposable one-time-use only piece of equipment. Do not use "real" tourniquet for training purpose as it can fail in real-life scenario. equipment
