Impressions, please! After 10 months of use, I usurp the right to express my relatively subjective opinion. The durability of FD41, quality and precision are at the highest level and I will eagerly compare them to products by LEICA, which are the model to be followed by all the manufacturers in the world. Fenix FD41 is a very solid piece of metal, which also does some great work as a flashlight, performing its programmed functions flawlessly. Some key facts. Ä i need a solid, long beam of light? check! Ä i have to perform some work and want the strongest light to cover the largest area possible? check! Ä i want to get rid of unwanted, wild guests from a place they should not be at? check! Ä can be used as EDc? check! Ä a case with MoLLE system? Yup - it is generally attached inside my backpack! I could possibly go on and on about situations when I used the flashlight according to my motto - "IT MUST WORK!" When it comes to that aspect, Fenix FD41 has been meeting and still meets 100% of my expectations. It is plainly visible in the widely understood User Interface, in the case of which you switch the flashlight on by pressing a tail button (when it is half-pressed, it works as a momentary switch), the modes are selected with a convenient side switch, and the icing on a cake, which is the light zooming. A note here, you can immediately switch to Strobe by pressing both switches at the same time. FD41 features one paradox. Operating it with gloves on is more comfortable. The accurate interlocking and the resistance of the rotary focusing make it difficult for the user to operate the flashlight with bare hands, despite the anti-abrasive finish. Let me get back to photography. The flashlight, thanks to its exquisite functionality of "light zoom three-sixty" and four levels of light intensity, is a fairly efficient and functional source of light, which worked when I was taking pictures. It is a perfect solution both as the main (dispersed) light source as well as a spot light that provides auxiliary light on selected elements of the scene. It is another aspect in which Fenix FD41 should be awarded www.fragoutmag.com
