Chinstrap variants. From the bottom: early chinstrap with cot-
ton chin cup and OG106 nylon webbing, chinstrap with cot-
ton chin cup sewn to nylon strap (still OG106/OD7), CG483
chinstrap, FG504 chinstrap.
Band, Helmet, Camouflage in different variants. From the
bottom: first two bands are from two different runs made
somewhere in 1980s. Neoprene rubber with OD7 color cot-
ton outer. Third is late 1980s OD7 band with nylon outer
– the CL-1 was added to description of the item. The top
one is CG483, latest band, which should not be used with
helmets made in 1980s or 1990s as it appeared later.
1997-modified wider suspension and Velcro mounted sweatband. Below there is
metal buckle for older sweatband, which was was used to attach them to early
suspension. These tiny metal parts were real pain in use and GIs hated them.
