The 15th Dubai Air Show took place from 12 to 16 November 2017, at the Dubai World Central airport. It is the biggest event of that type in the region. Since several years, it has also been widely recognized outside the Middle East. Dubai Air Show is a highly appreciated expo that most certainly draws the attention among professional as an event with huge potential and momentum. Known for its prestige, huge budget and record-breaking orders, every two years the fair brings more and more exhibitors, manufac- turers, and visitors to Dubai. Within 645 000 m 2 the organiz- ers gathered almost 1200 exhibitors from all over the world (30% of which were from Europe) and about 160 state-of-the- art civilian and military aircraft. The astonishing number of about 80,000 visitors and orders for the total amount of almost 113.8 billion US dollars – that is the result of the five-day exhibition. The number of aircrafts ordered during Dubai Air Show 2017 and the value of those orders is, to say the least, astounding. Airbus signed letters of intent for sales of 510 aircrafts – 430 of them were ordered by Indigo Partners, which provides aircrafts for airlines such as Wizz Air, Frontier, or Volaris. Already on the first day of the fair, Boeing signed a contract with Emirates for a delivery of forty most modern Boeing 787-100 Dreamliners. . TRADE SHOW
