sharp edges or similar screw ups. Additionally, very fine looking and durable Tennifer treatment on metal parts. After six months of use there are practically no signs of wear. P99AS feels good in hand – for sure not perfectly, but no reasons to complain. There are three inter- changeable back straps so it can be personalized to shooter's needs. Maybe it is not as comfortable as changeable sides of grip, but it does its job. Grip itself profiled nicely, covered in thin pattern. Here they can do better because those dots are not providing enough resistance for hands and grip is not firm enough as in SFP9 or latest Glocks. Lovers of stippling have great opportunity to show off, and if someone does not want to work with soldiering ma- chine on the grip has to figure some- thing out with grip bands or stickers. Grip can be left as it is – you can shoot like that. Overall profile of the grip is proper, but far from ideal be- cause of weak profiled places like beavertail and place there trigger guard meets the grip. It is flat like a table and you cannot deeply grab the handgun and there is no way you can sit it down because of the placement of magazine release lever. It is not bad after all, but it could be better. Inserting magazine is not a prob- lem. It goes in smoothly and is held firmly. We could say that there is an option to better profile down part of the grip for magazine well, what for sure make reload without looking easier. Reloading is also easy, guide spring does not resist much. First shot was with self-cocker after decoking reloaded weapon, with button placed on the top of the slide (placed asymmetrical on the left side). Firing from self-cocker makes us wander, and we start to explain to ourselves why memories firing P99 from few years back were so bad. Trigger has a long way but even resistance during whole path, resis- tance from category „lighter ones". It can be surely said that most of the SA/DA triggers have higher re- sistance when firing from self-cock- ing mechanism.
