original, Nam-era MIL-SPEC, so it's practically the same rifles as every M16A1 from that time. Lower and upper receiver are made from 7076 aircraft grade aluminum and held together with two metal pins for quick disassembly for cleaning. As in every AR, it's super easy and does not require any tools. The Troy XM177E2, just as early versions of M16A1, is anodized in gray color, not black. Accordingly, to military spec- ification from 1960s. On the right side of upper receiver there is placed for- ward assist with „Tear Drop" shaped button and extrac- tion port with dust cover. The T-shaped charging handle is placed at the back of upper receiver and right above it, there is fixed carrying handle with rear sight. On the magazine well there are proper markings PROPERTY OF U.S. GOVT XM177E2 CAL. 5.56 MM, same as original ones. Trigger is semi-fire only, but at the safety switch there are three positions: SAFE, SEMI and AUTO. Just to keep it as close to real deal as possible.
