Side adjustment was left without changes. Enhanced Tactical Load Bearing Vest (since 1995) The base fabric of the vest was repla- ced with mesh. end of strap, the additional buckle was added on the left. Just above the waist belt, a padded lumbar mesh was added. It has nylon mesh outer and is padded with black foam. It is attached to the frame stays, weaved through two straps of nylon webbing. The back part features black urethane track and yoke attached with two large screws to guide. Shoulders straps are sewn to the yoke. This is the heart of Lowe Alpine Torso-Trac fine tune suspension system. Shoulder straps have to attachment points: top one are the buckles attached to the frame stays flaps. This allow for almost unlimited adjustments of the size and girth. The yoke can be set lower or higher depending on the load. Shoulder straps are padded with 20 mm thick bi-laminate foam. There are also load-lifter straps on the top of each shoulder straps The bottom part of shoulder strap is similar to the ALICE pack one. There are QR buckles on the each of the straps. The bottom parts of the shoulder straps are connected with main pack through triangle-shaped Cordura attachments, making them hard to replace in case of damage. The sternum strap features side-release buckle and a flexible webbing part. The position of the sternum strap can be adjusted vertically. In the back part of FPLIF there are two additional items. On the top there is a 1" webbing drag handle and two webbing straps with "male" parts of buckles for Patrol Pack attachment which could be used as stand-alone pack or as a flap for the main pack to increase its overall capacity.
