IN FRAG OUT! #22 WE ANNOUNCED YOU TRAINSHOT SHOOTING TRAINING SYSTEM FROM SLOVAKIA. RECENTLY WE HAVE PLAYED WITH TWO SETS OF TRAINSHOT AND NOW WE CAN TELL YOU SOMETHING MORE ABOUT THAT STUFF. TRAIN AND HAVE FUN! STORY &PHOTO: FRAG OUT! D uring our range visits, we have used the Trainshot systems cou- ple of time. We didn't tear them apart, but they are pretty beat up now. But still working! We have used them in indoor shooting ranges and the distance was usually 25 meters. S E T U P Setting up is surprisingly simple. The only time-consuming thing is hanging up the electronic module. It works best on the rangers with target transport systems. Just put it on target hanger and strap it with zip time. The device with the paper target is so light that even a 3-4 mm wide zip tie will do the job, even during the transporter running. It failed only once when we were dismounting it. Most probably the zip tie was cut by a snag on the hanger that was made by a bullet. Worse case scenario is when you only have a wooden stands available. Then you need to use a stapler to attach a target. There is when you need to make up something as the device must hang freely, not be mounted on solid surface. But hey, there isn't such thing as impossible, right? Setting target inside the control unit is easy and can't be done wrong, even when using previously used paper targets that are not as stiff as those new ones. Switching the control device on – no problem. Of course, to have everything else running it is essential to download smartphone app, available for iOS and Android phones. After switching on electronic module or modules you need to con- nect it with your smartphone. Just turn on the module and WiFi on your phone, run the app and follow all the steps shown on the screen. Once connected, the app will remember setting and will automatically connect with control unit on every next training. Next step is to choose a training type and scan the target. Target will be recognized by the device – it will count the number of hits up to the limit. After reaching it, the target will be deactivated, and you will need to replace it for the new one.
