Ui: The User inTerface If, just like me, you often get lost around convoluted and complicated UIs that flashlights may potentially feature, Olight Seeker 2 Pro is what you are looking for. Its interface is quite intuitive, I have mastered it in 15 minutes and I have not, over the course of further testing, switched on the wrong mode. Ever. I also was not surprised by the reaction of the flashlight to my actions. But let's start from the beginning. Olight Seeker 2 Pro offers 4 standard and 2 special modes. Mode one is also known under the name Moonlight. It is an ultra power-saving mode, useful in total darkness. Olight decided that Moonlight shall be stronger than usually - instead of 0.5 - 1 lumen the mode allows the flashlight to emit 5 lumens of light. Further modes are as follows: • Low – 50 lm • Medium – 300 lm • High – 1,200 lm • Turbo - 3,200 lm The two top modes (High and Turbo) have a soft- ware-defined duration limit - after the time runs out the flashlight limits its power output to the level of 600 lm to avoid overheating. You can find out more about it in the part of the article that reviews the op- eration of the unit. Strobe function is also available. Consistency is what makes one feel confident when using Seeker 2 Pro. The flashlight feels intuitive. Pushing the switch, when the flashlight is off, always switches it on. Pushing the button when the flash- light is on - always switches it off. Holding the but- ton, in any case, switches the flashlight to the next mode. The flashlight always switches on in the mode in which it was switched off (apart from the Turbo and strobo modes). This just feels right. The special modes receive special, yet consistent treatment.
