nium. On the top there is rubberized rectangular ON/ OFF switch. The head and rear tail cap (battery cap) are quick-detachable. The tail cap doubles as a tool to adjust the nut in the mounting clamp. Both tail cap and head lack the thread. It was decided to replace it with quick-detach "bayonet-style" mount for improved durability. Fine threads might be to deli- cate for field use and might get damaged. To replace the battery or head, just simply remove the head and tail cap, rotate the pressure pad 180 degrees and then reinstall the head or tail cap. It might be done even with gloves on. OWL has an offset mount, so the shooter must cho- ose the proper location of the light on the gun. Primary aka strong hand side is recommended as this will allow convenient access to the switch on top of the body. The OWL is large but will fit the gap between the rails on 1-2 o'clock (when placed on the right). For quick strong-to- -weak hand transitions (barricades, obstacles, etc.), the OWL can be still operated when mounted to 12 o'clock position.
