The flat laces were chosen with fins in mind, but
I think that flat profile increase the possibility of
untying. The grip is perfect. Concrete, sand, as-
phalt, wet floor or rock, absolutely no problems.
Maybe it will decrease its lifespan, but it is a mili-
tary shoe, not a fashion one!
I was using them from Spring to Winter. Running,
riding my Harley, wading in the sea, digging in
the sand, cruising in town, shooting on the ran-
ge. They failed me just once, they got lost. Luckily,
I've found them!
