DEMONSTRATOR muzzle device with internal notch. The concept model also featured identical bayonet lug located on the bottom part of the gas block. Barrel attachment method was not changed and in both of the rifles it is attached with a turn- buckle. In the concept model, the barrel could be detached without handguard removal as there was a hole just above the turnbuckle. Half of the hole is on the upper receiver and the other on the mini- malistic handguard (with integra- ted MIL-STD-1913 rail). UPPER RECEIVER The 2008 model upper receivers look almost like the one from the SCAR rifle. Shape is similar and two Picatinny rail panels attached to the front part (the SCAR and Czech BREN assault rifles have bolt carrier guide rails integrated in the upper receiver). MSBS has steel rails attached with screws as in the ACR/Masada. The barrel ho- using in the concept model is just a metal block with holes and clamp. There are two ejection ports on the sides but there is no case de- flector (initially, there were small deflectors but were removed). Up- per receiver was machined from an aluminium alloy block since it was in the very early development stage. The intriguing part is an am- bidextrous bolt release similar to the AR-15 one, but integrated to the upper receiver, not the lower. Steel bolt carrier guide rails were kept in GROT but the upper receiver is now made from alumi- nium profiles and was completely Barrel housing Bayonet lug Barrel with gas regulator and piston Handguard Details of upper received Details of upper received FIREARMS
